- ➤ Jason and Lita Christensen, who bought the historic steam plant in 2018, received $200,000 from the Montana Department of Commerce to repair the roof and preserve the old Hansen plant off Rowe Road. They plan to turn it into a center for weddings and markets — a project that will restore a key piece of Butte history. KXLF

- ➤ Visitors to Butte's World Museum of Mining can join an underground tour that descends into the Orphan Girl Mine to show original equipment and tight passages where miners once worked. - ➤ The Rooted Together Foundation and Deep Roots Counseling will host a ribbon-cutting for the Mobile Crisis Response Team on Saturday, July 19th from noon to 3 p.m. at 1720 Four Mile Rd., and the event will offer family activities—barbecue, face painting, a bubble machine, a dunk tank, and raffle prizes—along with mental health resources and discussions with local first responders.
