- ➤ Crews installed a 70-foot-long, 1,600-pound new transmitter on the KXLF broadcast tower in Butte on June 19 as part of Scripps’s multimillion-dollar plan to upgrade transmitters in Montana — the switch from VHF to UHF will improve over-the-air reception and digital capabilities with a brief broadcast interruption scheduled before the upgrade goes online. - ➤ A new Montana law now bans vaping in all indoor public spaces, which means coffee shops, gyms, and grocery stores must stop allowing vapes and e-cigarettes indoors.
