- ➤ On Dec. 17, a windstorm with 60-70 mph winds swept through Butte, toppling century-old trees onto vehicles and property and causing power outages and school closures. Emergency crews continue work on clearing debris — residents are urged to avoid downed power lines until conditions improve. KXLF

- ➤ CBS affiliates will air Scripps Sports’ 'Brawl of the Wild: The Rematch' at 6 p.m. Friday, offering a 60-minute preview of Montana and Montana State's first playoff meeting as the teams vie for a trip to Nashville for the FCS national championship. KXLF
