- ➤ Local heroes of 2025 were honored at a luncheon today as community leaders recognized their contributions to local service and announced plans to support volunteer projects + build on these achievements. The Montana Standard
- ➤ Callie Parr, a Butte honoree who overcame personal tragedy related to a loved one’s suicide, is recognized for her work as an Early Childhood Tribal Policy Coordinator and for her leadership in suicide prevention—efforts that build bridges for children. The Montana Standard
- ➤ A KÜHL study finds Montana ranks among the top three most-searched ski destinations with 3,423 searches per 100k residents and draws queries from North Dakota and Florida — Showdown leads with about 8,100 monthly searches. KXTL
- ➤ Butte’s annual clothing drive is set for Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former JCPenney building in the Plaza Mall, offering free clothes, lunch, haircuts, and flu shots (a welcome boost for families during the holidays). Volunteers have been sorting thousands of items in preparation. KXLF
- ➤ Local volunteers in Butte are preparing for the Thompson Family Food Drive to support families in need. More details on timing and location will be announced soon. The Montana Standard

- ➤ The Department of the Interior announced that starting Jan. 1, 2026, international visitors to 11 parks including Yellowstone and Glacier will be charged an extra $100 on top of standard entry fees. Annual passes for nonresident visitors will cost more than $250 while citizens pay $80, with 8 fee-free days provided. KXTL

- ➤ Discovery Ski Area in Anaconda will open its season on Saturday, Dec. 6 with free runs on Easy Lift and Run terrain — additional slopes will open as snow accumulates. MontanaRightNow
