  • A recent Jiffy Lube study shows nearly half of Montanans will hit the highway for the holidays—drivers are expected to spend an average of two days on the road as they travel to visit family and friends. This prediction means traffic may increase, prompting travelers to plan ahead—especially during busy periods.  KXTL
  • The Festival of Trees fundraiser is at the Elks Lodge this weekend and shows hand-decorated trees, wreaths, and holiday items donated by local schools, businesses, and individuals. Live auctions will take place Saturday and online bids will open at 1 p.m.—all proceeds will support United Way efforts to help low-income families stay warm.  MontanaRightNow
  • Big Sky on Waterford will host its annual Parade of Trees on December 6th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 3701 Elizabeth Warren Avenue—guests will tour over 90 decorated trees, bid on 13 trees crafted by local senior service agencies, and enjoy cookies, cocoa and a scavenger hunt while donating one can of nonperishable food to support local charities.  KXTL

  • Montana Tech and the Butte Rotary Club will host the Peggy Sarsfield Young Women's Basketball Skills Camp on December 19 at the Montana Tech HPER Complex. The camp is open to young players in first through sixth grades with sessions from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. for the younger group and 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. for the older group — registration is $20 and includes a camp t-shirt.  KXTL
