- ➤ Montana is nearly snowless this November because the natural weather phenomenon La Niña has kept temperatures high—resulting in a snowpack as low as in 2017; federal forecasters predict winter will bring more precipitation to the northern Rockies and Great Lakes while other areas remain drier. - ➤ Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks reported that harvest trends show slight declines, with 7,148 hunters checked and lower numbers for white-tailed deer, mule deer, and elk compared to last year.
