- ➤ The Sunrise Kiwanis Club in Butte donated nearly a ton of potatoes to West, Kennedy and Emerson elementary schools + the food will be given to parents at upcoming parent-teacher conferences to help families as SNAP benefits and food bank supplies decline. KXLF
- ➤ On Halloween night, pranksters hoisted Sinclair Gas Station’s 270-pound green dinosaur to the top of the M trail, and Saturday morning local rescuers led by the Huntley family retrieved it using straps—guiding the mascot safely home as hikers cheered. KXLF
- ➤ Today the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation donated $50,000 to the Butte Emergency Food Bank after Butte declared an emergency in response to federal SNAP cuts during the government shutdown.
