Due to SNAP benefit cuts and a potential government shutdown, local groups have organized emergency food drives to help families this holiday season.

Nonperishable donations will be collected at the Civic Center Annex this Friday, November 7, and at the Butte School District on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—actions aimed at easing the burden for those in need.

Taylor Bjorkman, a first-generation Business and IT student at Montana Tech, received a full-ride scholarship and used TRIO Student Support Services to navigate college challenges as she prepares to graduate in May.
