- ➤ A local complex was renamed in honor of Don Peoples Sr.—the man credited with saving Butte. Peoples said that Butte is dear to his heart and he is flattered by the honor. The Montana Standard
- ➤ The Butte Community Winter Market will be held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April at the Elks Lodge located at 206 W. Galena St. The Montana Standard

- ➤ The Montana Lottery announced changes to Montana Millionaire that will offer more tickets and prizes this year—ticket sales open November 1 at 5:30 a.m. and the odds to win a million-dollar prize have improved. Residents can buy tickets at local retailers. KXTL
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Tucker Wetmore, a rising country star, played college football at Montana Tech in Butte+he suffered a severe leg injury during spring ball that ended his athletic career; he later returned to Montana, performing at the Montana State Fair on July 28 and Headwaters Country Jam last summer. KXTL
- ➤ The band Gaelic Storm will perform in Butte on October 21 — the group is known for its role in the film Titanic and its soundtrack recordings. The Montana Standard
