A Butte nonprofit worked with Northwestern Energy to mark National Weatherization Day early as snow fell, using LIHEAP funds to weatherize about 80 homes each year (helping working-class families get ready for winter).

Today at Covellite Theater at 215 W.
Broadway in Butte, a free screening of Scream started at 8 p.m.—doors opened at 7:30 p.m. and admission was suggested at $5—with free popcorn provided to attendees. Yesterday's Open Mic Night featured local talent—many performers took to the stage—and later this week, Thursday's comedy, Friday's art walk with Zoe Anastasia, and Saturday's Finding Lucinda documentary at 7:30 p.m. will follow.
Covellite Theater will host Open Mic Night every Tuesday through March with sign-ups starting at 7 p.m. (215 W.
Broadway), and live performances will run until 11 p.m. as local artists, comedians, and poets share their talent while audiences enjoy drinks and snacks.

A Norwegian battery materials company said Butte is its only site if it expands in the U.S., and county officials said the news shows promise for local business+ job growth.
