- ➤ Montana FWP confirmed three cases of chronic wasting disease among 107 animals tested since July—officials urged hunters to test their harvest and follow new rules to protect local wildlife. KXTL

- ➤ Attorney General Austin Knudsen warned that synthetic kratom known as 7-OH is 13 times more potent than morphine and has been linked to 29 deaths since 2020—retailing unregulated at convenience stores and vape shops while natural kratom remains available at local kava bars. KXTL
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ Crews began demolition on Monday at Butte Plaza Mall as Dickerhoof Properties removed the north wall of the former Herberger's store to make room for a new grocery store — the project will transform the site into a plaza-style shopping center. KXLF
