- ➤ Ken Haines, a West Virginia retiree, opened HP2 Café in Butte on Sept. 9 after enjoying success with his Melrose businesses and a bonding trip with his sons inspired his next chapter. - ➤ A Montana-made comedy, Cuisine De La 'Pocalypse, debuts today on Amazon Prime Video to buy or rent. The film—shot in Hamilton with local talent and featuring zombies, robots and taquitos—will have a red carpet event in Los Angeles at the end of October. KXLF
- ➤ Montana's own Chloe Gendrow will bring raw alt-pop to Butte's Covellite Theater on Friday, September 26th with folk musician Ella Rae Cole from Bozeman. Doors will open at 7 p.m.—the show will start at 8 p.m. and promise an intimate local music event. KXTL

- ➤ Montana Tech in Butte and the University of Montana in Missoula have been named to Princeton Review’s Best 391 Colleges for 2026 — a recognition based on reviews from over 170,000 students evaluating academics, campus life, and more. - ➤ Wildlife officials set a trap with a rotisserie chicken bait on Friday morning in a southeast Butte neighborhood after a black bear was seen climbing a spruce tree and rummaging through trash—authorities plan to capture and move the bear to a rural area while advising residents to steer clear of nearby streets.
