Local chef Chase Cardoza from Red Lodge will represent Montana on Hell's Kitchen: Battle of the States, which premieres later this month on Fox.
He works at One Legged Magpie and joins top chefs from other states — highlighting Montana's vibrant food scene — in a high-profile cooking contest.
Butte-Silver Bow County officials announced a new $168 million budget that will let most homeowners pay less in property taxes—especially for homes valued at $400K or below—while also raising sewer and trash rates and boosting most county employees’ pay; the budget includes an extra $250,000 to cover overtime costs from a recent water scare and runs retroactively from July 1 through June 30. It reflects a joint effort with state lawmakers to lower tax rates to help offset higher appraisals.
