- ➤ Brown is scheduled to appear today before District Judge Jeffrey Dahood in Anaconda on four charges of deliberate homicide and dangerous weapon use tied to the Aug. 1 bar shooting—sealed filings restrict details on the case. The Montana Standard
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana license plates start with a number to show the county where the car was registered—'6' means Gallatin and '49' means Park. This numbering system, set in place in 1926, reflects Montana’s history and lets newcomers learn about local counties. KXTL
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Butte Central Maroons will start the week with a golf tournament today at 9 a.m. in Dillon, head to Bigfork on Thursday for another round, host their home football opener on Friday at 7 p.m., and compete in a volleyball tournament on Friday and Saturday at the Maroon Activities Center.
