- ➤ Butte will host several summer events—Cruise Nite on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Stodden Park with classic car registration and awards, and Music on Main on Thursday featuring local band Basketball Jones with food trucks and vendors—with fun for families. On Saturday, the Rader Brothers Car Show will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Butte Depot—featuring raffles, live music and donations to the Montana Hope Project—with free entry. KXTL
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Citizens Technical Environmental Committee, along with state and federal environmental agencies, will offer a free tour of Durant Canyon and the remediated Silver Bow Creek on August 21—residents can learn about local environmental cleanup during the tour. The Montana Standard
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Butte officials say that after testing over 100 water samples, the tap water is safe to drink today following a five-day no-consume order. The DEQ has issued a health advisory for at-risk residents who should consult a doctor & the city continues to provide bottled water in the advisory area. KXLF
- ➤ After a bat infestation at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming put many people at risk, Montana health officials warn that rabies remains a dangerous disease — residents should avoid contact with bats and seek immediate treatment if bitten — to prevent serious illness. KXTL
