Montana Highway Patrol officers will work as waiters alongside Special Olympians at MacKenzie River Pizza in Butte on Tuesday after 3 p.m. as part of the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser for Special Olympics Montana (3450 Monroe Avenue), with every Guardian pizza sale donating $2 to the cause.
Butte Elks Lodge 240 will host a Singo Bingo fundraiser on Wednesday, Aug.
19 at the lodge (offering a fun way to support local programs) for community members.
🎭 Culture
Retired miner Randy Winstead (retired in 2015) shares memories from 30 years underground in his new book, highlighting Butte's rich mining heritage.
A park ranger will share stories about the 1,170-mile Nez Perce Flight of 1877 on Saturday, Aug.
22, at a local historical site + the event will revisit accounts of bravery, tragedy, loss and determination.
Music on Main returned Thursday at 6 p.m. as Butte trio High Ore Road performed classic rock, country, and blues on Main Street (between Northwestern Energy and the M&M).
Families received free Shirley Temples and $5 food truck vouchers for 60 kids and a foam machine if weather allowed.
