- ➤ Longtime radio newsman Sarge said in a Facebook post that careless tourists are hurting Glacier National Park by parking anywhere and trampling fragile areas, so he called for better rules and visitor education. Some locals think that if Montanans could visit more easily, they would help protect the park—since park police cannot be everywhere. KXTL

- ➤ Butte resident Garrity Heier is proposing changes to city rules so that more people with smaller lots can keep a limited number of chickens—her plan sets new standards for coops, lot sizes and animal control fees.
