- ➤ Butte will host its inaugural Helsinki Thunder Run on Saturday, July 26 — registration starts at Copper Canyon Harley Davidson at 11:30 a.m. with kickstands up at 1:30 p.m. — then the parade heads to Helsinki Bar at 402 E. Broadway for motorcycle games, contests, a swap meet and a street dance from 6 to 9 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Braach's Service Dogs for Veterans program. KXTL

- ➤ Avelo Airlines will exit Montana markets soon after facing tough competition from Southwest, Allegiant, and Sun Country—its decision comes as the carrier shifts its focus to the East Coast. The budget airline, which returned to Montana in 2023 after an earlier attempt in 2019, is now relocating due to a lack of success. KXTL

- ➤ With summer temperatures rising, Butte community partners and Intermountain Health are holding life jacket demonstrations at Ridge Waters Water Park to teach proper fit and water safety to reduce drowning risks—one of the leading accidental death causes for kids under 14. Parents are urged to take the water watcher pledge while 30 donated life jackets are available for rent at the Butte Public Library and more safety exercises are planned for later this summer. - ➤ Deep Roots Counseling and Butte Health Department are teaming up to start a mobile crisis response service that sends mental health counselors to people who call 911 or 988. An info event will be held Saturday, July 19 from noon to 3 at Deep Roots Counseling and the program is set to launch by November—providing follow-up care and resource connections. KXLF
