The Butte Chamber of Commerce is selling a new Christmas-themed puzzle at the Montana Folks Festival from July 10–12 to fund a new trolley for busy summer tours – artist Eric Dowdle created the festive design featuring local landmarks.

Teddy Roosevelt’s legacy in Montana endures as local sites honor his transformative visits — the Roosevelt Memorial Ranch and Yellowstone Country Museum highlight his early journey from New York to Big Sky Country.

Volunteers are preparing for the upcoming Montana Folk Festival — set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Original Mineyard.

The event, featuring 22 performers across six stages, relies on nearly 900 volunteers and has arranged water stations and misters for warm temperatures.

John Stenson performed at Lunch in the Park at Emma Park on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The longtime local musician played rock and country classics while food trucks offered a range of meals for the crowd.

Montanans should visit the post office before Sunday, July 12 to buy Forever Stamps at 78 cents for one-ounce first-class letters (prices will then increase to 82 cents).

Rates for metered letters and postcards will also rise.
