CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Local law enforcement warned Montanans about a phone scam in which callers pose as sheriff's deputies and demand $9,000 for missed jury duty or false arrest warrants — residents are urged to hang up on any suspicious call. KXTL
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Volunteers began setting up six stages and prepping sound+lighting for the free three-day Montana Folk Festival that will start July 11 in Uptown Butte and showcase 20 performers from around the world. Jim Keane and his grandson Keltan are among the helpers bringing the festival to life and highlighting Butte’s community spirit. KXLF
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Energy Keepers reduced dam outflows at the Séliš Ksanka QÍispé Dam to conserve Flathead Lake levels amid ongoing drought. Projections show the lake will drop nearly three feet below full pool by August 31—which may limit boat access and affect local businesses. KXTL
