- ➤ Local law enforcement in Butte-Silver Bow County is urging truck drivers to secure loads—reports show falling garbage and other items have created hazards on roadways. MontanaRightNow
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Montana now has one drive-in theater after a drive-in in Billings burned down in June 2022 and one in Hamilton closed to become a film studio — the Silver-Bow Drive-in in Butte has not opened for its seasonal run, which normally operates from May to September. KXTL
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montana Senators Steve Daines and Tim Sheehy blocked the sale of federal public lands from the Big Beautiful Bill on the Senate steps over the weekend—following the House vote that removed the sale provision with help from former Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. The Montana delegation remained united in its effort to keep public lands in public hands and to prevent a large tax increase. KXTL
