Butte library will open a new south branch at the Don Peoples Complex next to Stodden Park, replacing the library’s former mall location closed due to construction.
The branch will operate Tuesday through Saturday (9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) to better serve flat residents.
Cruise Night 2026 kicks off tonight at GTR Towing & Repair on Dewey Boulevard as car and motorcycle fans display their rides.
Registration starts at 6 p.m. and voting for the Peoples Choice Award runs until 7:30 p.m., inviting families to enjoy an evening of classic fun.
Clark Park will host the Butte Community Market starting Wednesday, June 24, and Joybulation will screen free movies each week through Aug.
12 & add community flair to the park.
Comedian Henry Cho, celebrating 40+ years in stand-up, will perform his family-friendly Empty Nest Tour in Butte on July 30 and in Missoula on July 31.
He will also enjoy time golfing during his Montana visit.
Marcedes Carroll will perform tunes and tales at Elling House on Thursday, June 25.
She is working on new material for her third project as she prepares her second full record.
The Dust to Dazzle tour will showcase five local properties on June 27.
Tickets cost $20 and are available at each property on tour day.
EPA leaders met with local residents Tuesday evening at Montana Tech’s Library Auditorium to review their updated Superfund soil cleanup plan that lowers the lead threshold from 1,200 to 456 ppm and expands coverage to over 7,000 households.
Local speakers urged a faster cleanup than the estimated 15-year timeline, and the agency accepts written comments until 11:59 p.m. June 30.
