  • Many Montanans are moving out, and a study shows that Washington is their top destination—despite its homes costing almost $100K more than in Montana. The research highlights that larger cities and more activities in Washington are drawing residents away from home.  KXTL

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Scientists warn that Montana's tornado risk may be rising after rare events including a May 2024 EF2 tornado near Denton and a June funnel cloud over Little Belt Mountains—shifts linked to warmer temperatures and altered jet streams. Local counties are updating emergency plans to help residents prepare for more severe storms in the future.  KXTL
