The Montana Folk Festival returns just under a month later in Uptown with free three-day music events from Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12 — organizers need 850 to 900 volunteers for four-hour shifts to set up and break down the stages.
🏛️ Government
MDT is seeking community feedback on a proposed erosion repair project southeast of the Pipestone Trailhead.
The project will involve permanent use of the historic Harding Way retaining wall and the Milwaukee Road Pipestone Pass Tunnel Number 11.
🏥 Health
Montana’s Department of Livestock issued an animal health order on June 4 to require import permits and veterinary inspections for warm-blooded animals entering from infected areas after a screwworm was detected in Texas for the first time since 1966 (five additional cases confirmed in South Texas).
