Tuesday morning, Butte Cares awarded 20 Moving Mountain Awards outside the Butte Courthouse to honor local volunteers—young people, teachers, business owners and organizations—who were nominated by community members for their service.
The Butte-Silver Bow Archives is displaying '100 Years of the Elks,' a new exhibit that shows old photographs + artifacts like the heavy Book of Dead to highlight the group’s long history in Butte.
The exhibit, which runs through mid-August, celebrates the Elks’ role in shaping local community life.
Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials said low river waterflow is a growing concern with rising temperatures, and they will monitor water levels throughout the summer.
Butte has announced a new wayfinding signage project to add uniform signs at landmarks such as Naranche Stadium+Maroon Activity Center+the YMCA to guide locals and visitors.
The project is part of the city's master plan to make walking easier and will start next year as officials pursue grant funds.
The Divide Trail Race
