- ➤ Belmont Senior Center in Butte said uncertainty over federal grant funding has put its Meals on Wheels program at risk as a pause on funds threatens the part—37%—that covers each $12 meal while donations support the rest. The program currently feeds about 200 seniors at home and serves an extra 300 meals at the center, leaving staff worried that any funding cuts could disrupt these essential services. KXLF
- ➤ A new study by Safewise shows the top 5 safest towns in Montana based on property crime, violent crime + natural disaster risks. The study found that 56% of Montanans feel safe compared to the 48% national average. KXTL

- ➤ Retail forecasts for 2025 predict up to 15,000 store closures this year, more than double last year's 7,325 and breaking previous records, and a Joann store has already shut down locally.
