- ➤ Butte's historic Carpenter's Union Hall is over 100 years old and the board is now installing a new elevator to improve access to its upper floors — work began March 20 with more than $400,000 raised through donations and the project is expected to be completed by this summer. KXLF

- ➤ The Montana Renaissance Festival in Red Lodge was ranked fourth nationally by USA Today 10Best and will be held on June 7 and 8 at the Rodeo Grounds. Attendees will enjoy jousting, live music, and historical reenactments that bring the medieval era to life. KXTL

- ➤ Two candidates to replace retiring Montana Tech Chancellor Les Cook will be on campus next week — the public is invited to meet them and learn about their plans for the future. The Montana Standard
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Scientists reviewed recent moderate earthquakes in Montana and found that 42 tremors—recorded in February with the largest near West Thumb—are part of the region's regular activity, and experts say there is no sign of an imminent Yellowstone eruption. Authorities continue to monitor the volcanic system and will inform residents if any changes occur. KXTL
