- ➤ Butte’s Unique Lighting & Home Decor donated $7,500 in new fixtures and ceiling fans as part of its New Year celebration to support Habitat for Humanity’s self-help housing program for local families. The nonprofit is now building seven homes in Butte and will expand projects to other Southwest Montana towns soon. KXLF
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Maverik will not build a gas station next to the Silver Bow Drive-In Theater after local owners objected to potential noise and light issues. The company withdrew its letter of intent for the 17-acre site off German Gulch Road. KXLF
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ TOAST will perform a tribute concert featuring hits by soft rock band Bread this Saturday, Jan. 10 at Butte’s Mother Lode Theater (314 W. Park Street). The show starts at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6 p.m. for fans to experience a nostalgic musical journey. KXTL

- ➤ Montana Tech will host Frontier Conference doubleheaders this weekend as the women tip off at 5pm Friday against University of Providence and the men follow at 7pm Friday + both teams will play MSU-Northern Saturday at Valley Bank Arena. KXTL
